  5. 1) Ensure that your AUTOEXEC.BAT file has set the COMSPEC and AEDIT
  6. environment variables appropriately.
  7.  
  8. e.g. SET COMSPEC=C:\DOS\COMMAND.COM
  9.      SET AEDIT=C:\BLUEWAVE
  10.  
  11. 2) Make sure the AEdit distribution package was unarchived into the proper
  12. directory, namely, the one the environment variable was set to.  In the above
  13. example, you would put all your AEdit files in C:\BLUEWAVE.
  14.  
  15. 3) Enter Blue Wave.  Select "Setup Parameters" from the main menu.  Under the
  16. "Directories" pulldown menu, select "Editor File Path".  Ensure that this is
  17. the correct path which points to the AEDIT.EXE file.

  19. e.g. C:\BLUEWAVE\AEDIT.EXE
  20.  
  21. 4) And that's it!  For further details on usage, features, and product
  22. support, consult the full documentation, AEDIT.DOC, which is provided with the
  23. distribution package.

  25. *** NOTE: If your disk drive is accessed when you press backspace, and your
  26. drive is too slow, then you can toggle the Undo option off by pressing Alt-T.
